I actually have a lot of personal experience with these feelings so writing to the effect of an anxious, self-conscious person was not that hard at all.

• Anderson is absolutely an extremely supportive person towards his S/O. He’d always offer an ear to hear whatever’s making them feel bad. When he hears how they feel, and listens to their insecurities, he’d definitely reassure them that he loves them for them, and he loves their body no matter how they personally feel about it.

• Always has a positive word to say to or about his S/O whenever they’re feeling down and self-conscious. Decades of working with kids and teens, and his fellow religious officials, means he’s got something good to say for every negative feeling they might be having at the moment.

• Whenever his S/O feels particularly anxious, depressed, what have you, he gently takes their hands and leads them in a prayer to seek assistance from the Lord. “Lord, mae ye watch ovae them, givin’ them yer’ guidance in this, their time ae trial and sadness, Amen.”

• Would try to get his S/O to open up to other people and not be so shy. He’s always trying to get them to meet the kids and his co-workers (is that the right word?) at the orphanage so they can get used to being around and talking to other people.

• He’s the kinda guy to leave relevant Bible passages on places his S/O would see them. All the positive ones about loving yourself, others, etc. He mostly does this to help give them guidance when he’s going to be away on a mission for a while, to reassure them and help make sure they don’t get lonely while he’s gone.

• Anderson is ALWAYS praying for his S/O to feel confident and happy, whether he’s near them or not, and to have them watched over while he’s gone. Renaldo and Maxwell have repeatedly stumbled on him wandering through the orphanage’s garden muttering prayers under his breath.

• Is more than willing to provide hugs. Close bear hugs are the order of day for his S/O, as the giant priest loves keeping them close to him to reassure that he loves them.
